NEWS FLASH! LOOK AT ME NOW

You thought SCOOP was smooth and sexy-looking before? Well look at us now! The new, streamlined design prints on one page. What else has changed? Not much, considering you can still expect to read about the newest boutique and restaurant openings, art shows, concerts, and other hip goings-on around town. You know what else this means? It's time to forward SCOOP to everyone you know. Even if they live in Batswanujahville, they'll probably still enjoy reading about What's New, What's Hot, and What's Now. Unless they live in Cornville. That town's got enough going on already.

MUSIC PINK FLOYD

Aussie Floyd will provide flahsbacks and groovy tunes during their stop at Dodge Theatre on November 19. The Pink Floyd cover band hails from Australia, and after moving to the U.K., their act has gone to the Dark Side of the Moon, bringing hundreds of thousands of fans along with them. The show is a true Pink Floyd-like experience with psychedelic visuals and trippy musical voyages to familiar – and not-so-familiar – places. Show starts at 8 pm. Go to www.aussiefloyd.com or www.dodgetheatre.com for tickets.

FASHION SCARPE SHOES

imageDC Ranch just got a new pair of shoes thanks to Scarpe, a new boutique on Market Street. Hot new styles from George Mang, Emilio Pucci, Christian Lacroix, Hollywould, Donald J. Pliner, and Beverly Feldman line the shelves, while jackets, handbags, and accessories make the place oh-so-irresistible. Owner Tennille Avelenda has an eye for finding shoes that look just as good on an older lunching socialite as a 20-something nightclub hopper. Scarpe is open 10-9 M-S, 12-5 Sun. It's next to the coffee shop. Call 480.502.4949 for more

FOOD LOBSTER FEST

Ever try to clambake in summer heat? That’s why Tempe is holding its First Annual Original Lobster Festival during the cool weekend of November 11-13, at Tempe Town Lake. Tons of live lobsters are taking a flight in from the coast of Maine and then steaming themselves to perfection before slathering in dripping hot butter and cuddling up to some comfort-food sides. Thanks, lobsters. Admission $15 and meals start at $17. www.tempelobsterfestival.com
